Sam Katula
Varsity Head Coach

Coach Katula rejoins the Northstars this season and will take over the role of Head JV Coach/Varsity Assistant. Prior to this season Coach Katula served as the Head JV Coach at Brookfield East High School for the 2013-2014 season. Coach Katula originally started his coaching career at Waukesha North during the 2012-2013 season where he also served as the Head JV Coach. Coach Katula is a 2012 graduate of UW-Parkside where he also played for the Rangers from 2007-2012. Coach Katula is a 2007 graduate of Brookfield East High School where he was named a 1st Team All-Conference Selection his senior year along with being named to the WBCA All-Star Game.

Casey Wuest
Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Wuest enters his 3rd season as a part of the Northstar coaching staff now taking on the role of Varsity Assistant Coach. Prior to this season Coach Wuest served as the Head JV coach last season and the Head Freshman Coach the season before that. Prior to coming to Waukesha North, Coach Wuest was a Varsity Assistant at Kenosha Indian Trails High School for two years, and before that was an assistant at Fond du Lac High School for three years. Prior to Coach Wuest’s coaching career he played collegiately at Marian University from 2004-2008. Coach Wuest attended Fond du Lac High School where he helped lead the Cardinals to two State Tournament appearances which included a trip to the 2003 Division 1 State Semi-Finals his senior year while also being named an all-conference selection, and a trip to the 2002 Division 1 State Championship during his junior year.

Steve Nebel
Head Freshman Coach/Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Nebel joins the Northstar coaching staff this year as he takes on the role of Head Freshman Coach and Varsity Assistant Coach. Coach Nebel has coached numerous youth teams in the Potosi basketball program prior to coming to Waukesha North. Coach Nebel is a 2006 graduate of UW-Parkside and a 2002 graduate of Potosi High School where he was named to the 2002 WBCA All-Star Team as well as being named the Six Rivers West Conference MVP.
